Medium Monday #3: Have Plugin, Will Travel

Plugins are the backbone of everything v3 for SpiritSwap. No no, not the power outlet in your wall. these plugins are additional pieces of codebase and other products that we use to attach to v3 to make it better. The last month, plugins have been...Tough.

This isn’t to say we have not been crushing it. The difficulty has been that our v3 providers and plugin licensers have been incredibly busy (we love that for them). The things we’re building at SpiritSwap are better, faster, and more flexible than all the other DEXs on the market, meaning we have to push these plugins TO. THEIR. MAX. Sometimes, unfortunately, they need a little extra love to be pushed.

Our development team is world class. We have been building on the backend extensions for plugins that do not currently exist. Instead of waiting around, we are working with the product providers to create wholly new open-source fixes to the problems we are encountering so that SpiritSwap can grow faster than ever, and to help our partner project have a more flexible plugin — a win-win for all parties involved.

Our lead CTO, Pol has spent much of his week building a crucial innovation that will allow you to swap with lightning fast speed on v3 like users have become used to on SpiritSwap currently. The issue many experience on other exchanges on Fantom is that when trading a listed pair that does not have liquidity provided natively on that exchange, the swap can take a while to fetch the price, start the swap, and get you those juicy coins. SpiritSwap’s integration will allow you to swap any token, on any Fantom exchange lightyears faster with these in-house upgrades.
